Tim Taylor
President, PIAG
Tim is a graduate of the University of Delaware where he majored in political science. He began his career with the James River Corporation upon completion of his Bachelor’s degree. He worked as a marketing and product development manager, focusing his efforts on assessing the needs of the graphic communications industry and matching them to the manufacturing capabilities of several printing paper mills. After several years he moved into a sales role in the New York metropolitan market where he called on local printers.
After a year in New York he was recruited by Wausau Paper Company to manage their northeast region. Within a few years Wausau Papers acquired a paper company in the east where Tim developed and implemented a sales strategy that grew their market presence significantly. He also hired and led his first sales team.
With ten years of profitable growth for Wausau Papers, Tim was recruited by Georgia-Pacific. He moved to Atlanta as National Sales Manager for their printing papers business. A few years later he was instrumental in merging their printing and imaging businesses where he took on the Director of Sales role and was then appointed as Business Unit Director.
Georgia Pacific later acquired Unisource and Tim was appointed Vice President Sales and Marketing for their printing and imaging business.
Georgia-Pacific ultimately sold Unisource and Tim transitioned into the association business. He became Vice President of Marketing and Sales for TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry) and was responsible for strategic planning, corporate communications, external relations, advertising and promotion, membership development, and sales. He also led product planning and implementation across their paper, packaging, converting, and flexible packaging divisions.
Prior to joining PIAG as President, Tim most recently worked for PKF North American Network, an association of independent accounting firms.
